Dear DBICC Family,
May God to bless each of you with more of Himself this next year! As Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
One thing that you could do next year is to spend some personal time with God in His Word.
Start your week with reading the Bible one time a week and then increase it to two times a week in the following week and so on. Stick to the routine where you can submit yourself instead of increasing it too fast that you might end up not doing it at all because you feel overwhelmed by the commitment.
One idea would be to read the full chapter of whatever passage was preached on Sunday. Then on Monday, Wednesday and Friday you could read one chapter of a Bible book of your choosing (John, Proverbs, Acts, Daniel, etc.). Obviously, there are hundreds of other options you could choose to organize your reading system.
Of course, it would be even better if you spent time EVERY DAY in God’s Word, but committing to one or two days a week is a great start.
Here are some suggestions on reading plans resources:
As we begin this new year and new decade, determine to start a new chapter of growth in your life, with God’s help!
Blessings to you!
